Pick of the Week Club Rules
Rules for Regular-Season Play
Picks:
- All Players start with zero points.
- A player can never go below zero points even if they actually lose more points than they have.
- All games must have picks submitted before kickoff of the first game of that day. All games will lock on Sunday at the first kick off for all Sunday and Monday night games.
- You may choose not to submit any or all picks. (i.e.: You do not have to take a Pick of the Week or Monday night game.)
Scoring:
- Games played from Wednesday through Saturday will lock at the first kickoff of the day. In the event of multiple games in a day. All games will be locked by the first kick off. For example, there are 3 games on Thanksgiving 11:00 AM, a second game at 3:00 and a final game at 8:00 EST, all games would lock at the 11:00 AM game
- Both Sunday and Monday games will lock at the first kick off of the early Sunday games.
- Once the system has locked, all games for the entire week each player will be able to view All players Pick of the Week as well as All players total points bet on their Pick of the Week.
- Each regular game is worth 1 point. You will not be deducted any points for a regular game loss. You will be credited one point for a win.
- Monday night games are worth 5 points. If you lose a Monday night game you will be deducted 5 points. If you win, you get credited 5 points.
- During the regular season, you may choose any one game during that week of the play as your Pick of the Week. If you lose your Pick of the Week, you will be deducted the total amount of points that were wagered.
- The Pick of the Week game overrides the scoring for the game you choose. For example, if your POTW is a regular game, you forfeit the possibility of getting the 1 point to go for the POTW points. This also applies to the Monday Night game, if you make the Monday Night game your POTW, you forfeit the chance at the 5 points normally associated with a Monday Night win to go for the POTW points.
- The games are handicapped and scored based upon the line. The lines will be entered on the web site around Wednesday to help you pick. The final line that we use to score with will be entered on Thursday. We will use Yahoo as our source for the line this year. It is located at http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/odds
- If a game's line is "Off" or unavailable on Thursday, this game will be set to an EVEN spread. (Pick'em)
- In the event of a push or tie based on the final score adjusted with the line (i.e. A team which is favored by 3 points, wins the game by 3 points) This game will become a Push, which means no points will be added or subtracted from a player's score.
- For any discrepancies or disputes in scoring; issues that are not clearly stated in the rules; or any other issues in question; the board of directors will review and make the final decision. All decisions made by the board are final.
- In the case of technical difficulty, the website is down, it is the players responsibility to their picks to the system scorekeeper. This must be done before first kick-off time Sunday. Please be responsible placing your picks.
